Recent government policies highlight plans to boost transmission interconnections between states and develop renewable energy zones.The OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned and experienced Cost Lead to join our Integrated Project Controls Systems team, which supports our PMO for Major Projects. Transgrid is currently managing $10 billion in contracted work and developing over $5 billion in new projects in line with government energy transition plans. We need a highly capable and high-performing major projects cost leader to ensure the successful implementation and operation of project cost systems. The infrastructure we build will support Australia''s high-voltage energy transmission and storage backbone for generations to come. Join us in delivering nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for future generations.Due to growth in our PMO team, we are now recruiting for an Integrated Project Controls Systems - Cost Lead to join us at our Ultimo head office. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an integrated cost control system and supporting processes for major projects within Transgrid. This role ensures that our enterprise systems and processes provide a comprehensive, robust, and integrated platform to enable projects to be planned, developed, and delivered within budget.About YouWe are looking for a technically skilled and collaborative professional who can have an immediate impact. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project controls, strong teamwork abilities, and a deep understanding of project cost management and cost control systems, particularly Hexagon Ecosys.To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:Tertiary qualifications at degree level or equivalent.Diploma-level Project Management qualification (advanced diploma preferred) recognized by a professional body such as PMI or AIPM.At least 15 years of professional experience in project controls.A minimum of 5 years'' experience with the Hexagon Ecosys product.Proven ability to utilize critical project management concepts (e.g., EVM, project planning, risk analysis, change management).Effective communication skills within the team and with other business unit stakeholders.A significant track record of working on large infrastructure projects.Demonstrated experience in the administration and analysis of cost, schedule, scope, and risk in an Earned Value Management-based project environment.Experience using MS Project and Primavera 6.Recognition & RewardWe believe in providing our people personal, professional and social benefits so that they can deliver their best work each and every day.
