Community Enterprise Queensland (CEQ) seeks Expressions of Interest for the role of Business Support Administrator - Retail.As a critical team member, you will be at the heart of our services function in the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula Area, and remote Aboriginal communities. Operating in 30 retail stores across remote locations, CEQ ensures access to quality fresh food, groceries, and essential services like fuel, gas, and ATM facilities. Your role will be based in the busy and culturally diverse Cairns Support Office.SummaryThe Business Support Administrator will assist the Operations team with data integrity within payroll and timesheet systems, support stores, maintain inventory of non-stock items, generate reports from procurement systems, and perform general administration tasks. Partnering with a cross-cultural, geographically dispersed team from Cairns to Cape York Peninsula, Gulf of Carpentaria, North Queensland, and the Torres Strait Islands, the Business Support Administrator will work in alignment with CEQ''s vision and values, playing an integral role in ensuring the ongoing success and reputation of CEQ as an employer of choice.Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar role within retail is desirable but not essential.Experience in a large and complex business is desirable but not essential.Software & Systems ExperienceIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Advanced Excel skills are highly regarded.Knowledge of file sharing applications such as OneDrive and SharePoint is highly regarded.Experience with inventory management programs like Grocery Manager/Smart Retail or Pronto is an advantage.Experience with payroll or time tracking software, particularly Humanforce, is highly regarded.TeamWork as part of the Operations Team, supporting the Store Support Manager as needed.Build and foster relationships across all teams to ensure high engagement, productivity, and CEQ''s success.Occasional travel to CEQ stores may be required, assisting with store operations or projects outside normal hours.Work in a cross-cultural environment, providing peer support in remote locations.DigitalDevelop competency in the ethical use of AI technologies as appropriate and approved.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProduce informational materials for stores in various formats.Assist with non-stock orders, liaising between stores and freight, managing inventory.Maintain good relationships with team members, focusing on engagement and communication.Support Store Managers and the Senior Operations team on timekeeping system (Humanforce) usage, including timesheets, rosters, and verification.Provide administrative support to the GM Operations & Retail Manager, attend meetings, and take notes.Perform other duties as requested by senior management.Other requirements include excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, remote and cross-cultural experience, adaptability, confidentiality, and a current Criminal History check (no more than 3 months old).Annual Performance PartnershipCEQ team members will complete an Annual Performance Partnership (APP), a structured performance and professional development discussion aligned with KPIs, strategic priorities, and CEQ values.
