Job Title: Finance ManagerLocation: Rockhampton, AustraliaReports to: CFO / Managing DirectorIndustry: ManufacturingEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our Australian manufacturing business. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing tax compliance, payroll processing, and cash flow forecasting, while supporting broader financial planning and analysis. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health, compliance, and efficiency of the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Taxation & ComplianceEnsure compliance with Australian taxation laws (GST, PAYG, FBT, income tax).Manage BAS lodgements, corporate tax returns, and liaise with external tax advisors and the ATO.Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls for tax reporting and compliance.Payroll ManagementOversee end-to-end payroll processing in line with Australian industrial relations and Fair Work requirements.Ensure compliance with Superannuation Guarantee obligations, employee entitlements, and payroll tax.Manage payroll reporting, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) and annual reconciliation.Cashflow & TreasuryMonitor daily cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate working capital.Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and identify opportunities for improvement.Oversee banking relationships and manage debt facilities where applicable.Financial Reporting & BudgetingPrepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.Support month-end and year-end closing processes in collaboration with the wider finance team.Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors.Ensure financial risks are identified and managed appropriately.Support internal control improvements and financial policy development.Key Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.Minimum 5 years experience in a similar finance role, preferably in manufacturing.Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and payroll compliance.Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP, or similar).Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience working in an SME or privately owned manufacturing business.Prior exposure to ERP implementation or finance process automation.Understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing margin analysis.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a finance manager?Have you completed a qualification in accounting?Do you have experience using Microsoft Excel? #J-18808-Ljbffr
