About the Role As Planning and Building Administrator, you will ensure that Council: Provides support service excellence across all planning and building services to maintain efficient processes. Offers customer-focused and professional administrative support to the Planning and Building units, supporting service excellence aligned with Councils values and best practices. Complies with relevant legislation, guidelines, and objectives through efficient administrative support. Key Responsibilities Processing daily incoming mail (internal & external). Registering incoming planning, building, and subdivision applications. Referring applications to internal departments and external authorities. Booking inspections for the Municipal Building Surveyor, other building staff, and the Planning Department. Processing Property Information Certificates. About You To succeed in this role, you will have: Strong administration skills and experience in a busy, service-focused office environment. Highly developed customer service skills. An ability to prioritize urgent and important tasks effectively. Well-developed organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping and attention to detail. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Internet. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team. Understanding of planning and building legislation and processes (desirable but not essential). A current drivers license.
