Precision Control Systems ("Precision"), a Hill Group ("Hill") member company, is looking for an experienced project manager ("PM") to manage complex construction projects, primarily for public entities in Illinois and Indiana. The PM would have direct management and oversight of up to $10M in design-build renovation projects. Within Pre-K-12 schools, Precision has successfully completed over 40 design-build, school renovation projects via performance contracts, totaling $150 million over the past 20 years. These project typically included upgrades to and/or new installations of: HVAC systems, building automation systems, lighting systems, renewable energy systems, and building envelope systems such as roofing, windows and doors. The PM is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction of a project from start to finish and is responsible for a safe and on-time completion that is within budget.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Regarding Construction, Engineering and Project Management the PM is responsible to:Act on behalf of Precision/Hill as the primary contact with Customer, Owner, and/or Owners RepresentativesComprehend construction design drawings and specificationsUnderstand divisions of construction, create and manage scopes of work for subcontractors and lead competitive procurement of subcontractsLead preconstruction planning meetings. Identify critical-path activities, phased turnover requirements, special quality management requirements, prefabrication, material handling and hoistingCreate project schedule as deliverable to customer and update via weekly meetingsSupervise and approve final construction/shop drawings, developing and/or approving design details; attend and manage MEP coordination meetingsDevelop, plan and implement MBE/WBE/DBE participationDevelop, plan, implement and monitor employment or residency requirementsLead weekly construction project meetings.
