You will lead and motivate a team, working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external parties to deliver funding programs and services to achieve policy outcomes. In particular, you will:Implement the governments strategic policy agenda and contribute to the development of improved policy making, innovative program design and management, and grants management.Provide high level analysis of issues and make a significant contribution to the development of strategic policy initiatives and program implementation.Promote and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including cross-agency stakeholders, community groups, business sponsors and service providers.Lead and direct negotiations and dispute resolution regarding very complex and/or sensitive customer service issues, and manage highly complex and sensitive customer relationships, including the management of customer expectations.Contribute to the strategic direction of your branch, lead branch change initiatives and provide strategic direction and guidance to your team and others.Manage the departmental and administered budget effectively.Develop and manage your staff so they have a shared sense of purpose and can successfully contribute to outcomes of your branch and the division and ongoing improvements.Build and maintain a thriving team culture.EligibilityTo be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.NotesWe welcome applications from all over Australia and flexible working arrangements will be discussed with the successful applicants.
