The Team: The Environmental Clean Team is a small and diverse team of cleaners who provide high standard infection control cleaning services across the Launceston General Hospital. The team focuses on discharge cleaning for infectious patient rooms to reduce the risk of transmitting infections. The Role: Perform defined infection control cleaning tasks across the hospital, wearing appropriate protective clothing and using cleaning equipment and chemicals, including correct maintenance and use of equipment and chemicals. Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary cleaning practices, including infection control cleaning and the type of isolation/precautions required. Ability to work with minimal supervision, with well-developed organisational skills, and exercise a high level of initiative, judgement, confidentiality, and discretion. Ability to provide direction, training, and support to less experienced staff. Details of appointment: Fixed-term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 pro-rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
