Thats the #powerofexperience.About the opportunityThe Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, new traffic management technology and Melbournes first dedicated busway. These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbournes east.Laing ORourke is part of the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP. Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades and new noise protection to meet Victorias toughest traffic noise standards. The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Plant Allocator to join us on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance.The Plant Allocator role assists the Senior Plant & Labour Allocations Coordinator in supporting the wider EBTA project team, ensuring plant, equipment and labour are allocated and delivered in a timely manner.Key responsibilitiesEstablish and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and site teams.Undertaking of plant, equipment and labour, release and allocations requests, utilising the EBTA processes, authorised systems in conjunction with the 12 weeks look ahead.Ensure our preferred supply chain partners adhere and follow the EBTA digital onboarding processes and systems.Ensure internal stakeholders follow systems that are in line with the Allocations team processes Flowchart, but still can pivot and react if the program or scope of works suddenly change.Operational facilitation of EBTA site teams requests in line with the allocations team scope of responsibilities; including breakdowns and servicing.Maintenance of registers and spreadsheets for accurate record keeping and compliance.Upload and maintain all Allocations teams, records, procedures, and processes into the Plant EBTA share point platform.Assist the Senior Allocations Coordinator with reports to review efficiencies and utilization.Escalate any delays with plant, equipment or labour with line manger that has potential to impact the project program.Assist Senior Allocator with daily checks in alignment with the Allocations team daily actions list.About youSolid experience in plant equipmentExisting knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processesStrong attention to detailConfident in ExcelPositive attitude and ability to work closely with the teamBenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
