We are seeking a Water and Sewer Strategic Planning Engineer to join our Utilities Planning and Design team. This position supports the strategic planning, development, and delivery of Councils water supply and wastewater systems, including maintaining hydraulic models, reviewing plans, providing strategic advice, and coordinating data with the Asset team.To Succeed In This Role, You Will HaveDegree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or significant relevant experience.Recent experience in the water supply and/or wastewater industry.Problem-solving and decision-making skills.Project planning and management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.On a Typical Day This Role WillUpdate and analyze water and wastewater functions using hydraulic models.Assist in preparing servicing strategies.Develop Project Requirement Statements (PRS).Review planning proposals and development applications, providing strategic advice.Work with the asset team to validate network data and GIS information.Remuneration And BenefitsEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent, 35 hours/week.Salary: $94,301.43 to $105,552.46, depending on skills and experience.Allowances: 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance, Leaseback or Vehicle allowances.BenefitsFlexible work arrangements, including hybrid working and flexi-time.Discounted gym membership via Fitness Passport.Career development opportunities.Annual salary increases and reviews.Long service leave after 5 years.Employee assistance program.Salary packaging options.Awards ceremony celebrating staff achievements.About The RegionThe Mid-North Coast boasts beaches, national parks, vibrant community life, and is ideal for outdoor activities and arts.Questions?Contact David Troemel at 02 6581 8653 for more information.Application ProcessComplete the application form, answer the criteria questions, upload your resume and cover letter in PDF format.
