Psychologist Grade 3 | Cancer & Palliative CareJoin to apply for the Psychologist Grade 3 | Cancer & Palliative Care role at St Vincent''s Health AustraliaPsychologist Grade 3 | Cancer & Palliative Care2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Psychologist Grade 3 | Cancer & Palliative Care role at St Vincent''s Health AustraliaJob Description:Are you a clinical psychologist has a passion for working with people with cancer and other chronic conditions?We are seeking an experienced and innovative clinical psychologist to join the Psychosocial Cancer Care & Palliative Care TeamFixed term part-time 4 sessions per week (long service leave cover)Work across Fitzroy and Kew sitesAbout The RoleThe senior clinical psychologist will provide a range of high quality psychological services embedded within the team of psychiatrists, psychiatry trainees and a music therapist.Responsibilities:Psychological therapiesCrisis intervention and assessmentDevelopment and evaluation of team self-careCritical incident and staff debriefingClinical teaching in the area of psychology within as part of the educational programme in palliative careConducting audits and other quality activities to further develop and improve psychology services for cancer and palliative patientsAllocation is currently 4 sessions per week of clinical work, inclusive of participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings at fixed times in the week.Classifications for this position will range from PL1 - PL4 ($108,279.60 - $123,905.60 per annum, pro-rata)Your contributionEndorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in the area of Clinical Psychology.Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency;Post graduate qualification in Clinical PsychologyMinimum of five years full time equivalent, post-registration experience in clinical psychology preferably working with people and their families with chronic physical health, or mental health vulnerabilities and people with advanced illness.Demonstrates advanced knowledge and experience in a range of clinical interventions including CBT, DBT, Schema and ACT, with specific demonstrated expertise in delivery or development of evidence-based treatments relevant in the area of mental health.Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.Highly developed interpersonal, time management and communication skillsDemonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice.Current and satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Check.What We OfferSalary Packaging Increase your take home pay!Employee Assistance ProgramAbility to join Fitness Passport - Your pass to an extensive choice of fitness facilitiesCar parking (Kew only)Discounts and Promotions always available through our FoundationCareer development & advancement encouragedCulture of continuous improvementAbout the Department of Psychosocial Cancer Care & Palliative CareThe Department of Psychosocial Cancer Care and Palliative Care provides holistic medical and psychological care to patients with cancer or a life limiting illness, and their families, through our clinical work, teaching and research.Working at St VincentsSt Vincents Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is a leading teaching, research and tertiary health service.
