WorkAre you a seasoned professional driven by a passion for environmental risk management and operational efficiency? Come and join Sunwater as a Senior Environmental Business Partner, based at our Rockhampton office, where you will provide professional support to the Sunwater business in relation to the management of environmental risk and ensure fit-for-purpose systems and procedures are in place to provide assurance regarding environmental compliance.In addition, you will:Provide environmental support and advice to project, planning, and operational groups within the business.Advise on the management of environmental risks affecting a water supply business operating in regional Queensland, including incident reporting and follow-up.Ensure measures are in place to assure Sunwaters compliance with environmental approvals, licences, or permits.Implement, maintain, and continuously improve a fit-for-purpose Environmental Management System in accordance with the AS/NZS ISO 14001 standard, including related reviews and audits.Please note that due to the nature of this role, travel to other Sunwater regional assets within the Central region will be involved.We seek a professional with demonstrated experience in environmental management practices within commercial organizations, including sustainability, environmental legislation, natural resources management, and current industry practices and technology. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in a similar role, tertiary qualifications in a relevant environmental discipline, and proficiency in maintaining ISO-accredited environmental management systems.Additionally, you will have the following skills:Stakeholder Management: Strong engagement skills to establish and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and regulators.Effective Communication: Highly developed written skills, including experience developing procedures, technical, and scientific reports on complex issues.Analytical Thinking: Ability to use analysis and research to develop strategies to minimize environmental impacts.This is a full-time role based at our Rockhampton office.
