Job Title: Orthoptist/Optometrist We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist/Optometrist to join our friendly and energetic team. We are patient-focused and strive for excellence in what we do. The ophthalmology practice is located at St Andrew''s Hospital, Toowoomba, and treats medical and surgical problems concerning the eye. Responsibilities: Ensure the following ''in house'' services are delivered smoothly and efficiently: Assist the doctor/clinical team with day-to-day administrative support and work closely with other team members to manage daily tasks. Consult with patients and operate an independent clinic in conjunction/supervision with the doctor. Perform refractions, take eye pressures and scans, and conduct other necessary tests. Discuss concerns with patients and prepare reports for the doctor. Function in a highly organized and time-efficient manner, problem-solve, meet deadlines, and carry out tasks reliably. Work with university students frequently; be willing to teach and present at student nights. Preferred Skills and Experience: Outstanding customer service and people skills with the ability to relate well to patients. High level of motivation and attention to detail.
