Our workforce is boots-on-the-ground and hands-on and we expect our safety culture to be just as real, practical, and uncompromising.Purpose of the RoleThe OHS Coordinator plays a critical front-line role in ensuring Groves operations are fully compliant with relevant WHS legislation, internal systems, and industry standards. This is a hands-on position that demands a proactive, no-nonsense operator who is relentless in identifying system gaps, practical non-conformances, and cultural issues impacting safety.Youll be the person on the floor, in the yard, and out on siteworking directly with tradespeople, site teams, and operations managers to embed a safety-first culture and drive real-world compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations across all business units (modular construction, transport, hire, manufacturing).Identify and document system gaps, procedural failings, and practical safety risks, escalating critical issues to the HSEQ Manager.Work closely with operations and frontline teams to implement practical, real-world safety solutions that improve compliance and reduce risk.Assist in the development and roll-out of new safety procedures, training materials, and system improvements.Drive safety culture on the ground through education, leadership, and a consistent presence across sites.Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting processes with thorough follow-up and closure.Monitor compliance with legal requirements and ensure Grove is always audit-ready.Engage with trades and site personnel to identify barriers to safe work practices and deliver improvements.Maintain and update safety documentation, registers, SWMS, and risk assessments.Provide clear, confident guidance on WHS matters and empower teams to take ownership of safety.Key RequirementsMinimum 5 years experience in a similar OHS role, ideally in manufacturing, modular building, construction, or transport.Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum); Diploma preferred.Proven ability to work with and influence tradespeople, operators, and site-based teams.Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management principles, and safe work practices.Hands-on mindset with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices and drive accountability.Experience conducting audits, inspections, and facilitating compliance reporting.Ability to translate systems and policies into real, practical site-level actions.High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.Comfortable working autonomously across multiple sites.Ideal Candidate ProfileYou dont just tick boxesyou find the real problems and fix them.Youre respected on the ground because you show up, back yourself, and follow through.You understand that compliance is about real safety, not just paperwork.You know the industry, know the risks, and dont accept weve always done it this way as an excuse.Youre ready to make Grove safer, smarter, and more compliant every single day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
