If youre an educator who values community, creativity and connection, Journey Fernvale is where your next chapter begins.About the role:This is a Permanent Part-time opportunity.As our Childcare Chef, you will be responding for delivering a wholesome, nutritional and visually appealing child menu that consists of breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack.Key Responsibilities:Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children,Adhere to dietary guidelines and any specific dietary requirements or allergies.Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas.Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that general day to day procedures are followed.Manage inventory, order food supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.Collaborate with the centre Manager to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of children.Adhere to all health and safety regulations including, Journey Early Learning Centre''s policiesAbout you:You are an experienced Chef who is passionate about creating delicious, healthy meals that fuel young bodies and minds.Role Requirements:Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or school settingKnowledge of child nutrition and dietary needsKnowledge of food safety program requirementsUnderstanding of allergies and anaphylaxisStrong organization and time management skillsValid Working with Children CheckFood Safety Supervisor certificateWhat we offer:Our people are at the heart of our success and in shaping our childrens future.
