As our medium rigid Driver in our friendly StarTrack Paget based team, youll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but youll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesnt get better than that!This is a permanent, full time opportunity working Monday to Friday only! Enjoy the variety of freight handling in a team to being out on the road delivering and representing Australia Post Group to our customers. Enjoy developing rapport with your colleagues and customers alike. This role has an hourly rate of $31.26/hr plus 12% super. In addition, we pay a $50/week location allowance along with overtime rates.Youll beFreight handling with your team in readiness to load your truckSafely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facilityCompleting your own daily vehicle safety checkDriving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-upsReturning to Mackay facility to unload pick-upsAbout youYou have a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. Youre passionate about making a difference in the community.Youll also need toHold a medium rigid license (if you''re looking to upskill to an MR we will look at C Class licence holders)Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truckBe safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibilityHave a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skillsYou will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or lessBe prepared to undergo a driving assessment, pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening, driving assessment and national criminal history checksHelp us deliver like never beforeWere delivering like never before.
