Join us and help preserve and protect Queenslands Biosecurity.Working within the Biosecurity Queensland Invasive Plants and Animal Program (South Region), you will be part of a dynamic team of technical officers that help preserve and protect Queensland''s biosecurity. Join us and be a part of our ongoing prevention and response to biosecurity threats.Invasive Plants and Animals (IPA) significantly affect the environment, agricultural production, infrastructure, human health and our way of life in general. The IPA program directs, facilitates and delivers strategic and targeted action to reduce the impact of invasive species in Queensland.As Our Senior Biosecurity Officer You Will:Support local government with their local biosecurity planning processes with multiple stakeholders across rangeland areas, ensuring the plans are cost-effective, timely and consistent with state and national priorities.Participate in state, regional and local biosecurity operations directed at the eradication of invasive pest plants and animals in high priority situations in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Participate in biosecurity preparedness and prevention activities (targeted engagement, surveillance and monitoring) and biosecurity incidents as required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group: Primary Industry & Environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
