The ideal candidate will have a flair for delivering exceptional coffee, food, and customer service while staying up-to-date with the latest food preparation techniques. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires a friendly and can-do attitude, with the ability to work well within a team environment and go the extra mile to ensure an outstanding experience for our school community.Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Presentation:Assist in the preparation of a variety of fresh, nutritious, and appealing food options, including sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and snacks.Ensure food is presented attractively and complies with school health and safety standards.Customer Service:Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service to all customers, with a focus on building positive relationships.Maintain an approachable demeanor, offering suggestions and engaging with customers to enhance their caf experience.Handle customer inquiries and feedback with a positive attitude, always striving to exceed expectations.Team Collaboration:Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient caf operations.Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment.Take on additional tasks or duties as needed to support the caf''s success.Personal Presentation & Hygiene:Maintain a clean, professional appearance in line with school standards and food safety regulations.Follow hygiene protocols and food safety guidelines at all times.Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as a food preparer, or in a similar customer service role.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and politely with a diverse range of people.Strong attention to detail, especially in food preparation.Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to go above and beyond to provide excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction.Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.Desirable Attributes:Passion for coffee culture and continuous learning.Ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for students and staff.Flexibility and adaptability in handling varying tasks and customer demands.Desired Skills And ExperienceQualifications/Certifications/Licenses required for the positionFood Safety SupervisorThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience in high-volume, School tuckshop experienceCurrent RSA certificate (advantage)Barista experience/qualification (advantage)Punctuality & reliabilityAccess to your own reliable transport (essential)Why Join Us?Work in a supportive, community-focused environment.Opportunity to be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team.Gain experience in an exciting, fast-paced caf environment while providing great service to the school community.If you are a friendly, motivated, and skilled barista with a passion for quality coffee and customer service, wed love to hear from you!Cater Care values Workplace Diversity, and we recognise that we are strengthened by it.
