Crows Nest State School is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Cleaner to join their school community. Within This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support. Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program. About The Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The role involves cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe school environment. Tasks include cleaning windows, doors, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, and cupboards; sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays; maintaining equipment; controlling cobwebs and mildew with extendable tools; cleaning surfaces such as concrete, bitumen, asphalt, and paved areas; dusting furniture and equipment; sweeping, vacuuming; removing graffiti; maintaining floors including buffing, stripping, and polishing. Security-related tasks include activating/deactivating security systems and locking/unlocking buildings. The role involves liaising with the Principal or Business Manager about cleaning supplies, reporting security or safety concerns, and referring public inquiries to the relevant staff. Additional duties include rubbish disposal, gutter and drain cleaning, and other cleaning tasks as directed. The role may include additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or delegate. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
