As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating a wide range of high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts according to recipes and quality standardsDevelop and test new recipes to expand our menu offeringsManage the daily production schedule to ensure timely delivery of baked goodsMaintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety regulationsTrain and supervise junior bakers and kitchen staffCollaborate with the culinary team to create cohesive menu itemsMonitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as neededEnsure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished productsAdapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergen requirementsParticipate in menu planning and cost control initiativesQualificationsCulinary degree or diploma in baking and pastry artsMinimum 3-5 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef in a high-volume kitchen or bakeryProficiency in various baking techniques, including bread making, pastry preparation, and dessert creationStrong knowledge of food safety principles and current food safety certificationExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and leadership skillsCreativity and passion for developing new recipes and flavor combinationsUnderstanding of Middle Eastern and international baking traditionsKnowledge of dietary restrictions and allergen managementWillingness to work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; familiarity with local ingredients and flavors is advantageousAbility to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as requiredPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)Additional InformationBeing a Raffles employee means embodying and conveying the brand and the company mindset through our Heartiest service culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
