Job Description

As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures. We foster a culture of respect, integrity, and inclusion where everyone can thrive.ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues and replace faulty components with minimal disruption.Conduct post-deployment checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety and deployment standards.Decommission hardware for simple upgrades and refreshes following standard procedures.Communicate, report, and escalate incidents as needed to management and engineering teams.Assist and guide fellow technicians in challenging tasks.Complete required training and observe experienced technicians to gain practical skills.Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and staying informed about team activities.Take pride and ownership in service quality and the overall user experience.QualificationsRequired: High school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of computer hardware, and 1+ year supporting IT equipment or related technology.Background Check: Ability to meet security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check, citizenship verification, and possibly enhanced security assessments.Preferred: 2+ years supporting IT equipment, certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
