Our clientheadspace, National Youth Mental Health Foundation is a world leading organisation which enables a network of over 170 headspace services and nationally run programs to provide a safe and welcoming environment for young people seeking support for their mental health and wellbeing.Each year headspace provides direct support to over 100,000 young people in the areas of mental health, general and physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services. Our work is highly visible in communities to reduce stigma associated with mental health and to lower barriers which may prevent young people from reaching out for support. Our work involves strong collaborations with young people, families, governments, schools, universities, health and community services, business and increasingly with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.headspace is vibrant, passionate and committed to evolving and adapting to the increasing and changing mental health and wellbeing needs of young people across Australia.The roleReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director Communications and Marketing (ED C&M) is responsible for providing leadership to strategically position headspace as a national leader in youth mental health and to strengthen their influential voice and trusted brand.Overseeing media and communications, marketing, brand and fundraising strategies, this role will drive a contemporary and integrated approach to realise the vision and strategic direction of headspace. As ED C&M, youll be responsible for several portfolios, and lead a team of engaged, talented professionals to promote the services headspace provides across Australia.Youll be strategic, innovative, and insights driven, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, respectfully considering the diversity of cultures, individual identities, the lived and living experience of people with mental health challenges and the geographical differences across the Australian community.In addition, youll also be responsible for the following:Development and delivery of an integrated stakeholder engagement and thought leadership strategy for headspaceStrengthening engagement and communication within the national headspace network and broader mental health sectorLead on media relations and issues management (including being a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board)Enhance and evolve headspaces profile and reputationNational brand and marketing planning including implementing key objectives aligned to the headspace strategyStrategic development across communications, marketing and partnershipsOversight and growth of the headspace strategic corporate partnership and fundraising portfolioImpactful team leadership and relationship managementSkills and experienceThe Executive Director Communications and Marketing role requires a skilled, passionate and professional leader who thrives on achieving and exceeding goals, coaching and developing a multi-skilled team, and delivering strategic objectives.
