The Association plays a crucial role in securing the region''s economic, social and environmental sustainability.In a dual role supporting promotion of the McLaren Vale Wine Region as a leading tourism destination, while ensuring the effective operations of the MVGWTA office and Memberships, the Tourism & Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating key tourism initiatives, supporting regional events, engaging members and stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of office administration and internal communications. The successful applicant will be a highly organised, proactive,self-motivated team player.MVGWTA prefers to receive applications directly via email.PLEASE SEEthe full Role Description, further information and application details at:will include (but are not limited to):TourismCoordinate MVGWTAs tourism development and education programs in collaboration with the MVGWTA Wine Tourism Committee, to facilitate adoption of best practice throughout the region.Assist in planning and delivery of MVGWTAs two major in-region annual events, including Member participation, stakeholder coordination and grant reporting.Develop MVGWTAs relationships with key tourism industry stakeholders, represent MVGWTA at relevant industry events and meetings, and develop partnerships to drive regional promotion and tourism capability.Develop and manage relationships with tourism media, and coordinate media familiarisation visits to promote McLaren Vales wine and tourism offerings.Manage and moderate the MVGWTA Wine Tourism Facebook Group to support member engagement and communication.AdministrationManage the membership database (CRM system) and general inbox to ensure timely, courteous handling of member enquiries.Coordinate production of the Weekly Members Bulletin and other routine internal communications.Maintain smooth daily operations of the MVGWTA office, including supplier relationships and office systems.Provide general administrative support to the CEO, team and Board, including meeting logistics.Support accounts management, including processing invoices and liaison with bookkeepers.Candidate requirements include:Demonstrated success in stakeholder communications and management.Demonstrated experience in efficient and effective office management and/or administration.Demonstrated practical experience in the tourism industry, preferably wine tourism.Demonstrated practical and/or technical experience in tourism development and/or destination marketing.Exceptional MS Office skills and strong knowledge of file management, database and booking systems.This full-time role will be offered initially as a 12-month contract, with option of extension.This role is located in McLaren Vale; some intrastate travel may be required.
