We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our technical team to manage a comprehensive quality management program ensuring all internal, customer and regulatory requirements as related to manufacture of product are met.The key duties of the role include:Responsible for the implementation and management of quality systems to ensure product safety and quality requirements are metResponsible for mitigating risk of non-conformances against internal, customer and regulatory specifications and requirementsEnsure all requirements for each individual sites certifications are metPrepare and send product for shelf-life testing, mandatory microbial testing and individual customer testing requirementsReview production paperwork, conduct inline checks and test product prior to releaseDevelop and maintain a training register across sites to meet the requirements of the QMSDeliver team member training on quality processes to ensure requirements are understood and met. Update and deliver refresher training as required due to changes to product, process or certification requirementsCommunicate non-conformances and corrective actions to team members, mitigating the risk of future occurrencesSkills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will hold the following skills, experience and qualifications:Minimum three years work experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environmentBachelor of Food Science, or similar, with a strong understanding of pet food, BRC and consumer goods standardsWorking knowledge and experience with the standards associated with pet food and treats, grains, seeds and other biological material relating to the manufacture and supply of pet consumable products.Experience working with external laboratories and ability understand and interpret resultsAbility to apply scientific methodology to develop processes to ensure compliance across various end consumer products.Excellent time management and communication skills, collaborating with internal teams and external customers to deliver results as agreedBenefits and PerksIn return for your commitment and your can-do attitude, we offer you a career-making opportunity as part of a supportive and ambitious team who back ourselves (and each other!) to tackle challenges head on, and stand up for what we believe in.
