Sustained team members demonstrate accountable behavior and share our values of customer service, innovation, integrity, inclusion, financial stewardship, leadership, and care.The Culinary and Nutritional Service Associate I or II provides assistance in all culinary functions according to company standards and federal, state, and local regulations to ensure quality nutritional services are provided daily and that culinary services are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.Essential Activities and TasksOperations Management - 75%Performs daily culinary functions to serve meals and snacks that are palatable and visually appealing, providing residents with an exceptional dining experience.Assists in serving meals as needed and on time, delivers food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas, and works in serveries.Serves food following established portion control procedures.Maintains culinary work areas and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition. Assists with daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including cleaning work stations, counters, refrigerators/freezers, sweeping, mopping floors, washing dishes, and proper storage of clean items.Supports execution of special events, participating in planning and preparation.Distributes, collects, and counts menus as necessary.Quality and Compliance Management - 10%Ensures adherence to quality assurance, infection control, and universal precautions during departmental procedures.Maintains confidentiality of resident care information.Shares observations and insights that may improve departmental quality and efficiency.Attends all scheduled employee and departmental meetings and in-service trainings.Customer Relations and Service Delivery - 10%Responds to the needs of residents and staff, helping residents and visitors feel welcome and comfortable.Administration and Reporting - 5%Maintains accurate records using computers or other documentation methods in compliance with standards and regulations.All other duties as assignedQualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.ExperienceFood service experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.Other RequirementsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English.Working Conditions and Special RequirementsSitting: Up to 2 hours/dayStanding: Up to 8 hours/dayWalking: Up to 8 hours/dayLifting, transferring, pushing, or pulling residents/patients or equipment/supplies up to 50 poundsWork weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduledSubject to falls, burns, odors, cuts, temperature changes when entering/leaving refrigerator/freezer, and exposure to infectious waste, disease, or viruses including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B.
