Student Life plays an integral role in the shared strategic goal of providing a world-class student experience.The division of Student Wellbeing and Engagement facilitates a high-quality student experience through the provision of integrated and comprehensive services. The Wellbeing team is responsible for the delivery of the UWA Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework focusing on opportunities for early intervention and timely access to low barrier services. Student Wellbeing and Engagement has five broad areas of Complex Case Management, early intervention and cohort initiatives in Student Wellbeing, counselling through the Psychology team; Student Engagement through Grand Challenges and the provision of a contemporary onboarding experience; and primary prevention initiatives and clinical response to gender-based violence through the Safe and Respectful Communities team.About The OpportunityYou will, under broad direction, work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for providing case management for students with multiple and complex needs.Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure students receive adequate support.Case management for students entering into / exiting the acute mental health system, students in high-risk domestic violence situations, sexual assault or sexual harassment, student diversity, equity and inclusion matters and other high-risk matters.About YouRelevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.Experience providing case management and therapeutic interventions to a diverse group of students with multiple and complex needs, including assessment, crisis and short-term intervention, referral to and coordination of services. Ability to manage complex clinical problems and situations requiring immediate intervention.Substantial experience in the provision of mental health support including suicide crisis and risk assessment and intervention.High level communication and conflict resolution skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions and maintain a process of continuous improvement.Proven ability to establish partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure referral pathways and processes are in place along with a coordinated approach to providing care.Special RequirementsSome after-hours work (incident response).Current Working with Children Check.Current National Police Clearance Certificate.Current registration with an associated professional organisation such as Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia); or ACA (Australian Counselling Association).Position description: PD - Complex Case Coordinator (520092).docxTo learn more about this opportunity, please contact Sally Stott at sally.stott@uwa.edu.auHow To ApplyPlease apply online via the Apply Now button.
