Zenviron has a permanent position available for a highly motivated Design Lead to join the engineering team based in the Newcastle Office. Reporting to the Delivery Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering designs for large-scale Wind Farms and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.If you are an experienced Electrical Project Engineer skilled in the design and construction of major electrical infrastructure projects, and want to be a part of growth in the renewables sector, join the inclusive and high-performing Zenviron team.Key responsibilities will include:Coordinate, review, prepare, and deliver engineering designs/documentation for renewable energy projects, focusing on:Leading the project design process and related engineering requirementsMaintaining all related records for each projectControlling and coordinating project design integration activitiesConducting project design and risk reviewsReporting design progress to relevant stakeholdersProviding engineering assistance to the projectEnsuring designs/documentation meet relevant standards (AS/IEC)Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for engineering and procurement activitiesProviding engineering support to project electrical works, including investigations, site inspections, and problem-solvingActing as the primary technical contact for clients and external stakeholdersWhat we are looking for:Australian recognized Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia or eligibility to obtain it upon commencementProven experience in design and construction of major electrical infrastructure or utility-scale HV substation projectsStrong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in stakeholder engagementProof of right to work in AustraliaTo succeed, you will need interpersonal skills to build stakeholder relationships, a team-oriented approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
