The Reinsurance team is responsible for Hollards reinsurance strategy, placement, management, and reporting of reinsurance outcomes, in addition to the day to day management of reinsurance operations.Your RoleYou are required to participate in and contribute to providing technical and operational expertise to key regular and ad hoc reinsurance processes. You will need to collaborate with and contribute to other Functional Teams across the business, including Pricing & Product, Finance, Risk & Compliance and Operations. In addition to the above, you may be required to support or work with other areas within the Actuarial Team, such as Reserving and Capital.Your duties and responsibilitiesCoordination of the administrative and operational components of key reinsurance team functions, including but not limited to:Premiums and payment reconciliation, across all treaties and where necessary facultative recoveries.Recovery management (individual and event losses), collections and collateralisation.Contract wording management and product governance support.Support throughout the reinsurance renewal cycle, including management of information pack submissions, renewal underwriting data collation, contract wording reviews, and assistance throughout the placement process.Provide assistance throughout the reinsurance budget and forecast process.Assist with the preparation of key management and regulatory reports, including Board, committee and executive management reports, regulatory reporting i.e. Reinsurance Arrangements Statement (ReAS), in addition to rating agency and shareholder reporting.About YouExperience in Reinsurance or experience in related insurance roles, i.e. claims, underwriting, or broking with an insurer, reinsurer or broking firm.Good knowledge of key regulatory, capital and rating regimes and corporate financial concepts, and an understanding of the reinsurance function of an insurance company.Demonstrated ability to manage specific processes and tasks from end-to-end, while engaging key stakeholders as a subject matter expert.Successful management of workload with an ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes in a professional manner.Intermediate skills and working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Must have ability to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively with a wide variety of audiences and disciplines (insurance and reinsurance)Working at HollardAt Hollard you will be part of a supportive, valued and committed team.
