Workforce Capital Staffing is hiring Production Operators in Thomson, Ga.Job Description:Located in Thomson, Ga, is a diversified, privately held, manufacturer and supplier to the plastics industry. The company is experiencing a high level of growth.The Machine Operator is responsible for all setup, operations and quality for the machine or machines they are assigned to manage.Job Responsibilities:Perform continuous inspections of product both visual as well as through the use of micrometers and record product and process parameters.Complete all necessary paperwork as required, giving particular attention to product weights and scrap.Package product according to instructions.Keep extrusion lines, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and orderly.Operate lines, maintaining proper speeds and adjustments to ensure the line is operating at the specified production rates and producing a product that meets the quality specifications.Weigh and scan all finished goods in the data acquisition system.Palletizing and banding completed product.Ability to shut down bag machines properly.Ability to set counters, winders, and bag machines per job.Ability to read and understand each job order.Ability to make minor adjustments on winders such as speed, tension and core alignments on shafts.Basic Skills:Maintain a clean environment in all areas of the facility.Inspect for quality per specification requirements.Must be attentive and self-motivated.Read and comprehend a standard US English tape measure.Perform other duties as required and assigned by shift supervisor or facility management.Ability to work individually and in teams.Ability to package product.Ability to recognize quality issues.Education / Qualifications / Background Requirements:High school diploma/GED.2+ years working in a manufacturing environment.Strong work ethic and organizational skills.Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Must have a clean background for the past 7 years (2018).Work Environment & Physical Demands:Capable of lifting 50+ pounds unassisted.Able to work on foot for long periods of time.Climb stairs, crouch, kneel, bend.Reliable mode of transportation.Good communicator.All applicants must have permanent legal ability to work in the US and reliable transportation.
