Job DescriptionDiesel Truck MechanicImmediate position available for a Diesel Truck Mechanic Apprentice in Clearwater, Florida. We seek someone eager to learn and follow directions from our lead mechanic. The candidate will gain experience in heavy truck/equipment, hydraulics, air brakes, air conditioning, gas & diesel engines, drive trains, and electrical systems.What we offer:Gator Transport Group provides Medical, Vision, Dental, a $15,000 Life insurance policy upon hire with options up to $350,000, Long-term, Short-term, Accident, and Critical Illness Insurance. Our Diesel Truck Mechanic will work on 2017 or newer Kenworth Dump Trucks and 2019 or newer Peterbilt 389s.Responsibilities:Must have at least 2 years of proven diesel mechanic experienceRepair and adjust gas & diesel enginesPerform standard heavy and small truck serviceRepair and modify hydraulic systems and componentsRepair air brakesRepair drive trains, electrical systems, A/C, and pneumaticsReview mechanical write-ups and coordinate repairsDiagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs promptlyComplete reports, work orders, order parts, and handle administrative dutiesPossess skills to repair and maintain related systemsOperate and maintain the service truckOther duties as assignedRequirements:Provide own tools except specialty tools (welders, compressors, etc.)Valid Driver''s License with a clean recordWillingness to travel out of townCDL, OSHA, Forklift, ASE certifications are plusesAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsHonest, hardworking, reliable, punctual, and proactivePhysical Demands & Work Environment:Use of senses and physical functions including sitting, hands, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawlingLifting up to 10, 25, or 50 pounds as specifiedGator Transport Group is:A drug-free workplaceAn equal opportunity employerHomeland Security E-Verify companyJob posted by ApplicantPro #J-18808-Ljbffr
