The Cleaner in Charge also carries out internal and external cleaning duties; allocates the duties of the cleaning team; assists with regular cleaning inspections; arranges and supports cleaning relief staff; reports absences and maintains the cleaners time book and leave paperwork; provides on the job induction and training for cleaning staff; ensures cleaning stock levels are maintained; orders stock within the allocated budget; and liaises with the Manager Corporate Services and relevant staff member regarding any damage, issues, or concerns detailed on the communication board.The successful applicant will ideally have extensive experience with carrying out internal and external cleaning duties including: the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces; toilet cleaning; furniture and fittings cleaning; window cleaning; dusting; rubbish removal; and other general cleaning. You should have a sound knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.Applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to organise, train, and motivate your team of cleaning staff to work effectively and with a minimum of supervision.
