Position Summary:Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments. Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers. Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements. Validates Material Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments. Maintains inventory of shipping supplies.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Places parts in proper location after identifying and verifying part numbers.Loads and off-loads materials to/from delivery trucks, sorts, reconciles, enters information into ERP system, and prepares for counting processes.Matches paperwork to boxes and prepares orders for billing/shipping.Operates warehouse forklift or picker truck to pull and return parts from inventory (if applicable).Operates company delivery vehicle for movement of materials between buildings and/or customer deliveries (if applicable).Schedules, tracks, and monitors inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper routing and storing of goods. Assists other departments in researching transport and delivery inquiries.Arranges for the most cost-efficient means of moving products to their destinations while meeting customer deadlines.Participates in and/or leads key projects to support continuous improvement initiatives.Performs other duties as needed.If applicable:Completes export documentation and shipping manifests, including documentation required for the transport of dangerous goods. Ensures orders are prepared properly to follow quality initiatives and comply with safety and regulatory standards.Demonstrates general knowledge of governmental trade compliance and environmental regulations related to the storage, handling, and transportation of dangerous goods.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):High School Qualification / Equivalent2-4 years of related work experience; warehouse experience preferredAbility to lift and carry cartons weighing up to 35 lbs.Ability to manage cartons in excess of 35 lbs. using available safety tools.Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.Experience operating material handling equipment.Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Current valid drivers license with a clean driving record (if driving is part of the role).Ability to stand and walk on cement floors for extended periods.Detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Experience in international shipping and distribution.Knowledge of transportation, shipping laws, and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
