We are currently seeking a versatile Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic team. If you are a proactive and dedicated team player with a background working in a legal environment, we would love to hear from you.Position OverviewAs an Accounts Clerk at JHK Legal, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations within our law firm. You will work with legal practitioners, staff and clients to ensure accurate and timely management of financial transactions, billing processes and compliance with legal accounting standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the trust account in accordance with regulatory guidelines.Bank account and general ledger reconciliations.Accounts payable and receivable including debtor management.Generate and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.Manage and maintain the accounts inbox by actioning queries promptly and efficiently.Qualifications and AttributesTo succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a law firm or legal environmentFamiliarity with legal billing softwareStrong understanding of legal accounting principles and regulationsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to communicate effectively with legal practitioners, staff, and clientsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting softwareHow to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter to Human Resources atrecruitment@jhklegal.com.au.
