We are passionate, talented, dedicated, proud, and hungry for success and we want like-minded individuals to join the movement.And now, we are looking for a People Relations Advisor to join our People team, reporting into the People Relations & Well-being Manager.As the People Relations Advisor, you will be managing employee relations, performance, remuneration, benefits, and compliance across health, safety, and well-being across the JD Sports Retail team. This role requires strong partnering with retail management to support team development, facilitate investigations and performance conversations, and provide expert advice on retail awards and legislative matters relevant to both the Australia & New Zealand market.As a People Relations Advisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:People GeneralMaintain policies, procedures, and training documentationSupport development and implementation of People initiativesConduct and track exit interviewsDrive and report on performance reviewsSupport People team projects and partner with stakeholdersEnsure store visits where requiredRespond to People Advice inbox within 24 hoursAdhere to company standards and employment termsEmployee RelationsHandle complaints and grievances as the first point of contactConduct internal investigations and provide recommendationsAdvise managers and employees on People mattersManage documentation, reporting, and employee recordsDevelop and conduct ER training sessionsPerformance ManagementAddress performance issues as the first point of contactDevelop and train on performance management frameworkManage disciplinary processes for fair outcomesConduct performance management trainingManage documentation and recordsRemuneration & BenefitsAssist with fairness testing and update salary documentationManage retail bonus schemes and recommend new benefitsHandle communication strategies for benefitsAward InterpretationProvide expert Award advice and monitor changesDevelop cheat sheets for managersPeople Health, Safety & Well-beingWork on store risk audits with WHS and close gapsRoll out wellness initiatives and champion mental healthManage mental health and first aid trainingEnsure compliance with WHS policies and legislative requirementsIdentify and address workplace hazards and risksWhat We''re Looking ForMinimum 2 years experience in an Advisor positionDemonstrated experience managing employee relations issues and providing advice on performance managementDemonstrated experience providing advice to managers and employeesExperience interpreting the General Retail & Storage Services Award is preferredExperience working with NZ employment lawsPrevious experience within a retail environmentPrevious experience in a medium-large organisationAbility to multitaskPrevious experience designing and delivering training both face to face and onlineWHAT''S IN IT FOR YOU?Monthly culture committee eventsCentral CBD locationPre-pay day lunchesBirthday leaveCompetitive SalaryOne month paid parental leaveReferral bonus schemeTraining and development to evolve and shape your careerOpportunity to progress across all areas of the business including Retail, Support Office and our Distribution CentreTreat yourself with our attractive staff discount!
