The neonatal Head of Department will work within the SLHD Womens and Babies Clinical Stream to ensure activities within the Department align to broader SLHD objectives.As clinical leader, they will enhance clinical engagement and professional practice and standards, as well as a culture of respect for the individual, teamwork and continuous performance improvement.The appointment as Head of the Department of Neonatal Intensive Care is for an initial period of five years (with potential extension). The Head will hold the substantive position of a senior medical practitioner in Neonatal Intensive Care, and as part of this substantive role, will also undertake patient care duties in the Department, providing high quality specialist medical care and services for inpatients and non-inpatients attending ambulatory clinics.The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of Royal Australian College of Physicians (Paediatrics) with recognised qualifications in perinatal/neonatal medicine and/or equivalent (for the purposes of the respective Award).Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.For enquiries about the position, please contact Dr Demi Beneru or Dr Mark Greenhalgh via email at Demi.Beneru@heath.nsw.gov.au or mark.greenhalgh@health.nsw.gov.auApplications are accepted via eCredential ONLY.
