If you are passionate about solving problems that have real impact, we want you to join Anduril Australia and help us build the future of defence capability.Anduril Australia is seeking an individual with relevant Maritime (or complex autonomous systems) experience to test, operate and support Autonomous Underwater Vessels (AUV, Robot Submarines!) in the field. This broad role spans from the support of Sea Acceptance Testing (SAT) of prototype AUVs to the execution of challenging internal and customer demonstrations, including the stand-up of forward deployed operations and field maintenance activities.WHAT YOU''LL DOWork within a dynamic team of multidisciplinary engineers, specialists and technicians to test and operate AUVs and associated systems in the field environment.Prepare for field deployments by identifying, sourcing and kitting AUV test and support equipment.Conduct daily AUV inspections and system checks before and after operations.Coordinate AUV launch and recovery evolutions, execute day-to-day test operations, and write daily operations and test reports.Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of AUVs in the field, operating the maintenance management system.Support development, review and trials of Standard Operating Procedures and user documentation for all aspects of AUV operations.Assist with the preparation of risk assessments for test and related operations, identifying and implementing mitigations.Provide constructive feedback to design and manufacturing teams including software user interface design.Be in the field 60%+ of the time, supporting nearshore and offshore testing.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS4+ years experience in mechanical or electrical trades (or production-oriented robotics).Maritime trade background is desirable as well as subsea experience or autonomous vehicle operation (any domain).Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics, electrical diagrams, etc.).Experience performing functional checkouts and tests, and diagnosing/escalating issues discovered during these processes.Extremely organized and detail-oriented.Extreme comfort being offshore for extended periods of time.A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance.Anduril is an equal-opportunity employer, and we encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
