The Kick-off StoryThe Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women''s Asian Cup. This marks Australia''s second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup.You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women''s Asian Cup in Australia.This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women''s football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.If you need assistance in applying for this role, please reach out to our People team.Your Next Big MatchThe Host City and Stakeholder Relations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Manager Government and Stakeholder Relations in the successful planning and delivery of the AFC Womens Asian Cup 2026. The role will assist in managing stakeholder relationships, tracking contractual deliverables, and supporting the event''s strategic objectives and reporting requirements, under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Host City and Stakeholder Relations.Please note that this role is fixed term until March 2026.Stakeholder Communication: Support coordination and communication between the LOC, government officials, and local authorities; draft and proofread meeting materials and correspondence.Administrative Support: Assist with preparing and distributing key documents and maintaining stakeholder contact lists.Tracking & Reporting: Help monitor Host City Agreements, track milestones, and support reporting obligations to government bodies.Community Engagement: Contribute to event promotion and support local outreach and community engagement efforts.Operational Support: Provide daily administrative support including presentations, meeting logistics, and system maintenance.Team Coordination: Assist the Senior Manager and team with daily tasks, meeting coordination, and internal briefings.What Gets You in the Game?A minimum of 1-3 years in event coordination, project management, stakeholder management, sports administration or a related fieldStrong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic understanding of event coordination and stakeholder engagementProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with event management software is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a positive, can-do attitudeMust demonstrate the ability to work with agility, foster trust, embrace inclusivity, collaborate as one united team, and consistently strive for excellence.Offside ConditionsFull working rights in Australia *(please note that due to the fixed-term nature of the tournament, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position)Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalentInternational Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)Out of hours and weekend work as requiredOur roles are based at Moore Park in SydneyThe Winning Team BenefitsFlexible Work ArrangementsAccess to National Team Match TicketsPartner Discounts and OffersBirthday and Thank You LeaveClick APPLY NOW to submit your application, including a cover letter and current resume.Application Closing Date: 28 April 2026The Womens Asian Cup 2026 LOC is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a safe, work environment that prioritizes child safety, diversity, and inclusion.
