Join us to be part of this exciting journey.Description:Hitachi Rail seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated Civil Leading Hand based in Brisbane, Australia. The role involves overseeing civil construction activities, managing teams and subcontractors, and ensuring safety and compliance across projects.Key Responsibilities:Plan, lead, and oversee construction activities based on signalling and functional documentation.Manage the Civil Construction team and subcontractors for ETCS L2 project delivery, coordinating all site activities according to the project plan.Manage the ITP process, ensuring timely sign-offs by stakeholders.Optimize project resources to meet milestones and deliverables.Collaborate with HSE team to define safety requirements and implement safety initiatives.Ensure HSE compliance and define site safety protocols.Provide regular progress reports on construction activities and resource performance.Skills & Experience:5+ years in civil supervision within rail and civil construction environments.Construction White Card.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.Current Class A Driver License.Experience in concrete and foundation works.Proven competency in Health & Safety initiatives.Strong planning and organizational skills.Experience working in a brownfield railway signalling environment.Knowledge of relevant software tools and technical systems.Resourceful, resilient, and professional attitude.At Hitachi Rail, we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment.
