The company has been established for over 100 years and is well known for its expertise in large infrastructure projects.They are urgently recruiting for an Associate Payroll Specialist to join their Perth office, on an ongoing contract basis, working part time.Key Tasks:Responsible for execution of assigned end to end Payroll activities, including processing of payroll, employee and statutory payments, payroll-related accounting, reporting, and compliance.Responsible for administration of specifically assigned payroll-related activities to include timely and accurate vendor invoice processing.Adhere to company policies and procedures.Promote a positive payroll team environment.Prepare Monthly General Ledger Reconciliation.Check and Analyze the Payroll Accounts.Update time data and pay period adjustments in the payroll system.Payroll processing and verification of payroll calculations/payments.Coordinate salary transfer to employees bank account.Respond to employees queries on payroll payments.Prepare the final statement of terminated employees.Complete monthly reconciliation of payroll accounts.Coordinate monthly deposit of withheld taxes and retirement benefits to respective authorities.Prepare annual withholding taxes and retirement benefits returns and submit them to respective authorities.Respond to payroll-related queries raised by accounting group/internal and external auditors.Essential Qualifications and Education:Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.Minimum 6 years of work experience in payroll and knowledge of international payroll.High standard of safe working practice, quality, and productivity, as well as compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.Extensive knowledge of all aspects of payroll processing.Ability to perform gross to net calculations, able to reconcile taxes, able to resolve GL and Treasury issues.Very good communication skills, ability to multi-task.Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player.Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.Maintain key competencies associated with the payroll processing function.Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typePart-timeJob functionHuman Resources and FinanceIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting, Oil and Gas, and Civil Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
