Work within established authority on moderate-to-difficult claims. Review coverages, determine liability and compensability, secure information, arrange property damage appraisals, and settle claims utilizing best practices. Evaluate and set reserves using independent judgment. Assist supervisors and company attorneys in preparing cases for litigation. Conduct training and mentor new hires.Interpret policy coverages and make decisions using independent judgment on complex and unusual claims.Manage all investigative activities on complex claims and coordinate discovery and litigation strategies with legal counsel.Analyze claims activity and prepare reports for clients, carriers, and management.Establish reserves, authorize payments, and settle claims efficiently, ensuring timely disbursements.Develop subrogation and third-party recovery opportunities and follow reclaim procedures.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience.Technical claims investigation and settlement experience with 4-8 years in Claims or a similar organization.Workers Compensation (WC) Adjuster License as required by jurisdiction.Ability to work independently and handle various technical topics.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.Preferred Qualifications:Industry designations such as IIA, AIC, AEI, and/or CPCU.Why Crawford?Because a claim is more than a numberit''s a person, a child, a friend.
