We pride ourselves on professionalism and strong community links.The OpportunityDue to operational growth, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer on a Monday-Friday dayshift roster. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Superintendent, the primary role of the Mechanical Engineer is to provide engineering support to the Bengalla mine site as part of the engineering team.ResponsibilitiesSupport Bengalla teams to ensure safe operation of plant and equipmentDevelop and maintain effective networks through collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersStay current with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelinesPromote safety awareness and safe work practices, ensuring compliance with the site safety management systemLead or participate in safety investigations, report preparation, and implement corrective and preventative actionsProvide technical engineering assistance to operational and maintenance teamsGuide and review risk assessments and controls for engineering changes to plantManage engineering projectsProvide guidance on mechanical reliability throughout the lifecycle of equipment and plantQualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Degree, Associate Degree, or Advanced DiplomaGood understanding of machines and machine safety at minesKnowledge of WHS legislation relevant to minesFamiliarity with core standards for equipment and installations in minesStrong leadership skillsEffective task management skillsGood communication skillsWhat We OfferBengalla values its employees and offers benefits such as subsidised health insurance, salary packaging, self-education assistance, salary continuance, and gym memberships.
