Call Alicia for a confidential discussion on 0406 199 062 or apply below About the role As an experienced Financial Accountant with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Construction industry, the role is to lead and manage the day-to-day finance operations of the company by implementing and overseeing effective business, administrative, and financial strategies to increase revenue and market share. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Tasks & Responsibilities Complete end-to-end payroll processing including Superannuation, WorkCover, Payroll Tax, PAYG calculations, etc. Prepare and lodge BAS in line with statutory requirements. Reconcile bank statements and credit cards daily. Reconcile balance sheets monthly. Prepare documentation including work instructions, letters, and reports as required. Produce accurate reports for the leadership team, including profit & loss, job costing reports, and balance sheets. Prepare cash flow reports and assist with cash flow management. Handle accounts payable and receivable functions. Maintain customer and supplier records in Xero. Undertake regular data checks and audits. Complete year-end processes promptly. Maintain internal systems using Smartsheets, Xero, and other software. Support reception and general administration functions. Review and recommend improvements to existing systems. Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and numeracy. Problem-solve and analyze to deliver practical solutions. Identify and implement process improvements. Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting. At least 1 year of experience in the Construction Industry. Accounting degree qualified. Experience in construction business accounting, including EOM reporting, BAS/LAS lodgements, payroll, SGC statements, Data Build, and Xero. Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
