The APO team work closely with our Research teams to ensure study aims are achieved. APO are responsible for the set-up, conduct and overall delivery of studies/projects.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Assist in the recruitment of study participants (pregnant people, consumer and health professional stakeholders) and actively engage with consumers and external stakeholders to build rapport and partnership.Distribute information about the study to relevant contacts and networks.Conduct follow-up emails and phone calls to potential study participants for eligibility screening and gauge willingness to participate.Update and maintain phone logs and study eligibility lists and shortlist potential study participants in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.Conduct informed consent with potential participants.Contact participants to organise study participation.Set-up and engage in various meetings with different committees (project team, partner, consumer advisory and other external committees). Distribute meeting materials, prepare detailed meeting summaries and minutes and collate feedback for Chief Investigators to review.Monitor study inbox and respond to study queries in a timely fashion.Assist in write up and preparation of ethics and governance applications.Set-up and attend data collection days (hospital visits, focus groups and participatory workshops) to assist the facilitator in the data collection and data cleaning/analysis process.Schedule face-to-face meetings and visit participating sites to work closely with site staff in preparation for study participation.Regular communication with project team and executive team on recruitment progress and general project updates.Ensure accurate and timely data entry and record keeping on Sharepoint site, REDCap database, and other repositories.Respect and preserve data confidentiality and security in the maintenance of study administrative files, compliant with the approved data management plan.Ensure compliance with study protocols and procedures.General project administration and operational support for the project and the broader Injury program.Contribute to the analysis of study data and write-up of scientific journal articles.Undertake or complete training relevant to the projectsAs we are a global organisation, engage with colleagues and stakeholders in other regions relative to the responsibilities of the role, accommodating global time zones where required, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.For more information on this role, please see our detailed Position Description here, Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful CandidateTertiary qualification in a health, science or research discipline or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience in a research or health environment, including direct patient/participant/client contact.Previous experience working in NSW hospital settingsExcellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including exceptional phone manner and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the public and the ability to communicate confidently and clearly to the project executive team and a wide range of stakeholders.Pro-active and self-motivated.Sound ability to influence and negotiate.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Attention to detail, and skills in planning and problem solving.Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, with project team and with a wide range of stakeholders.Strong focus on quality of work and maintenance of excellent records.Well-organised and efficient, with the capacity to work under pressure.Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Sound knowledge of confidentiality issues in a research environment.Hold valid working with children check and police check clearance (or willing to apply).Willing to apply and obtain and other relevant approvals (eg, contingent worker access, vaccinations)Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the positionWillingness to travel to different sites situated around NSW, including to regional/rural sites.Familiarity with the NSW public health system and clinical settings and processes.Experience working with patients, clinicians and stakeholder engagement.Relevant and up-to-date serology and vaccinations (Category A)Familiarity with REDCap data management system.Knowledge of clinical trial/research processes and ICH/GCP guidelines.The closing date for applications is Friday 09 May 2025 at 11:59pm AEST.We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is foundThe unrestricted right to work in Australia is a requirement for this position.
