By integrating cultural respect with modern healthcare solutions, we strive to create an environment where heritage and health converge, fostering a sense of belonging and wellbeing for all.About the OpportunityWalhallow Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a full-time Clinical Nurse based in Tamworth, NSW.In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical care, support chronic disease management, and contribute to preventative health programs across the Coledale site. Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth daily operations of the clinic and upholding clinical compliance.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Preparing and assisting with the delivery of primary healthcare servicesPerforming triage, pre-screening, and health checksAdministering GP Management Plans and procedures (e.g., immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry)Managing cold chain, hygiene protocols, and infection control standardsMaintaining accurate and timely patient records and recall systemsSupporting Medicare billing and collaborating with CQI and Aboriginal Health PractitionersMonitoring clinic stock, equipment, and consumables in line with standardsParticipating in daily scrums and planning clinic workload with the Practice ManagerAbout YouTo qualify, you will need a Diploma of Nursing (or higher) and current registration with AHPRA. A minimum of 2 years experience in clinical nursing (especially within Aboriginal health or general practice) is essential.You must also possess:Working With Children Check & NSW Police History CheckFirst Aid CertificateValid NSW Drivers LicenceFamiliarity with Medicare Billing (MBS items)Willingness to engage with Aboriginal communitiesAdditionally, the following qualifications and skills will be highly regarded:Bachelor of NursingExperience in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health ServicesKnowledge of chronic disease management and preventative healthUnderstanding of culturally safe care modelsExperience in a multidisciplinary settingAs our ideal candidate, you will bring empathy, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to this vital role.
