These sectors are dynamic and crucial to the ever changing landscape of Australias economy.The broader C&P team plays an important role in achieving the Banks risk & return targets through conducting annual credit reviews and credit monitoring in accordance with the Banks internal procedures and delivering on a number of strategic and balance sheet focused tasks and assessments.This role is an integral part of this function through the successful completion of a range of day to day tasks, including: the management of customer credit & portfolio related requests, periodic review of customer credit and risk profiles, supporting the Relationship Managers and Portfolio Leads on the credit approval process of new transactions (incorporating deal structuring, preparing credit submissions, historical and forward looking financial and industry analysis etc.), the preparation of client presentations and customer account plans and managing compliance with internal processes and policies as well as other ad hoc support for Relationship Managers and the Head of C&P.What youll be doing:The Analyst will be responsible for supporting credit analysis across a portfolio of clients with a focus on credit quality monitoring and the achievement of the Banks risk / return targets through:Account Management:Conducting annual credit reviews and internal rating reviewsFinancial analysis and modellingSupporting refinancing and other revenue initiatives across the portfolioCoordinating within the MUFG networkClient interactions on tasks required for on-boarding and account managementAny other required tasks in accordance with the Banks policies and procedures and required to support the broader businessSupport the C&P team in the management of the wider portfolio, including a focus on sector risk / return and other strategic review processesWhat we are looking for:2+ years experience in a major domestic or international bank or chartered accounting firmCandidates from credit rating agencies, investment banks, investment management firms clearly also have relevant skills and are likely to be consideredAlternatively, we would be open to a candidate with skills and background within the relevant industries of Energy, Utilities and InfrastructureUndergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essentialMasters of Finance, MBA or CFA will be considered favourablyProficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products, and will be strong in financial modellingPossess an understanding of financial and economic marketsExperience in: (a) credit writing; (b) financial analysis and modelling; and (c) legal documentation and debt structuringBe able to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detailThe ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verballyHas strong interpersonal and presentations skillsIs a team playerIs a self-starter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasmHas an analytical mindset and problem solving skillsHas the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholdersOur culture:MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers'' prosperity.
