About The Opportunity As our client-focused Orientation and Mobility Specialist, you will work within a transdisciplinary team to enhance the mobility of our blind or low vision clients, enabling them to live life on their terms. You will provide assessment, training, intervention, and service coordination, working closely and long-term with clients to: Assess the ability of our clients to travel safely and confidently within their community. Advise on and prescribe mobility aids and provide specialist services to meet individual needs. Assist clients to confidently utilize strategies including mobility aids and Seeing Eye Dogs. Monitor and advise on the use of low vision aids to support mobility programs. View the Position Description for this role. About You As part of the Client Services team, you should have approved qualifications in O&M recognized by Orientation and Mobility Association Australasia (OMAA). Knowledge and experience working with children, adults, and older adults are encouraged. You will also have: Experience in providing client support and O&M services in person and/or through other communication mediums. Training and intervention strategies for individuals and groups. Strong planning skills, including effective time management.
