Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton is a vibrant cosmopolitan hotel located in Melbournes Innovation District, close to world-class universities. Overlooking Lincoln Square, it offers guests a unique urban experience whether for business or leisure. The hotel features a new restaurant aiming to be Carltons culinary destination, flexible conference spaces with advanced technology, and private dining rooms for exclusive events. As Night Manager, you will report to the Front Office Manager and play a key role in the hotels pre-opening phase, establishing operational foundations and fostering a positive work culture. Post-opening, your responsibilities will include managing overnight operations, supervising staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining safety and security. Day-to-day Responsibilities Manage guest services during overnight hours, including handling late arrivals, early departures, and guest requests. Lead and support the overnight team, including front desk agents and security. Perform night audits, reconcile accounts, and ensure transaction accuracy. Prepare and distribute daily reports on financial and operational metrics. Monitor security systems, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents. Act as Chief Warden during emergencies, following crisis protocols. Requirements Diploma or equivalent qualification. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in hotel openings or conversions. Proficiency with hotel auditing and reporting systems. Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
