Flight Paramedic - Starting at $20.92+ DOEWe''re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services; therefore, you''ll work on a quality, professional team committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.Responsibilities:Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is transferred to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation.Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.Keep documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.Be knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.Function as a medical flight team member.Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings; complete necessary documentation.Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and support pilots as needed, including radio, navigational, and visual observation activities.Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.Minimum Required Qualifications:At least three (3) years of experience in a 911 or critical care setting.Education and Certifications:Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred; required within 24 months from the date of hire.Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.NREMT-P certification may be required in the assigned area.Why Choose Air Evac Lifeteam?As a leader in helicopter air ambulance services, Air Evac Lifeteam is part of the Global Medical Response (GMR) family of solutions.
