This is a chance to make your mark on a globally recognised brand working alongside a collaborative, fast-paced team where high-impact ideas and beautiful execution go hand in hand.The OpportunityThis role is all about big ideas, bold design, and bringing campaigns to life through craft and collaboration. Youll shape Afterpays visual identity across everything from performance and product to CRM, social, and co-marketing.As an Art Director, youll lead the visual direction while staying close to the work jumping into the tools, guiding designers, and delivering best-in-class creative that elevates the brand and delivers results.What Youll Be DoingDeliver high-quality art direction and design across digital, mobile, social, experiential, and brand marketing channels.Conceptualise and execute visually engaging ideas that align with Afterpays brand identity and campaign goals.Work collaboratively with performance, CRM, B2B, and product teams to develop cohesive creative solutions.Maintain and evolve design systems, ensuring consistency across all visual outputs.Use insights and performance data to refine and optimise design work.Lead visual storytelling across multiple formatsstatic, motion, video, interactive.Own the creative execution from concept through to delivery, guiding designers and ensuring work meets the highest standard.What Youll Bring8+ years of experience in visual design, digital design, or art directioneither in-house or agency-side.A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft and strong conceptual thinking across a range of mediums.Mastery of design fundamentalslayout, typography, colour, and storytelling.The ability to lead and execute work end-to-end, from strategy to rollout.Experience juggling multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and meeting tight deadlines.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (bonus points for animation or motion skills).Proven experience leading creative campaigns and setting visual direction.Where Youll Be WorkingThis is a Fixed Term Contract, initially running through to the end of 2025. Youll be working in a hybrid setupwith a mix of remote-first flexibility and opportunity for in-office collaboration at Afterpays Sydney HQ. While this role is based in Sydney, youll also have access to Afterpays Melbourne office if youre travelling or collaborating with the wider team.
