Reporting to the Plant Manager, the WHS & Environmental Advisor is responsible for partnering with the senior management team to ensure all safety and legislative requirements are met across the Plant.Your key responsibilities will include:Utilising the WHS Safety Management System to plan and review complianceTimely investigation and completion of incident investigations and safety reportsIdentifying and reporting all WHS risks and hazardsReviewing completed Safety Observations and implementing recommendationsMaintaining and reviewing Safety Data Sheets and chemical registersCompleting monthly WHS reports and WHS site meetingsDeveloping and conducting Toolbox Talks to promote safety awarenessAssisting with enquiries from site health and safety representativesParticipate in WHS internal and external audits and inspectionsLiaising with internal stakeholders regarding WHS, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practiceConsulting with staff and promoting site awareness and engagement of WHSAbout YouPrevious experience working in a manufacturing or processing environmentCompliant with Emergency Preparation and Fire Safety ProgramsFirst Aid Certificate advantageousAbility to communicate with all levels of management, including knowledge sharing through training and continuous improvement programsExperience with the compilation of corporate injury investigations and reportsDemonstrated awareness of WHS Act 2011 and accompanying Regulations, Codes of Practice and GuidelinesProven initiative and solid problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a teamStrong computer literacy skills, specifically within MS Office and applicationsInterested?
