We are seeking a Associate Director, Library to join Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic), Academic Division.QUT Library is recruiting: come work with us. The Associate Director, Library plays a pivotal leadership role and is responsible for leading the learning and teaching portfolio within the Library, as well as providing strategic direction in all aspects of service delivery, ensuring an innovative and client- focussed service culture. The successful applicant will be an expert in library service delivery, aware of current developments and trends in the academic library sector and a skilled strategic influencer, who can work constructively with partners both within and outside the University.This is a fixed term role (5 years). The QUT Library has a strong, inclusive and forward-thinking workplace culture and is committed to QUTs values..What you need to succeedEducation, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a postgraduate qualification, in conjunction with extensive relevant experience managing a contemporary library service within a large, complex organisation.Demonstrated extensive experience in leading contemporary library services to support learning, teaching, research and client engagement.Excellent leadership and management skills that build and drive a collaborative, client-focussed, high performance team culture.Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills and the ability to drive positive change in an environment of emerging opportunities, challenges and uncertainty.Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills including the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships through consultation, negotiation and collaboration.Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience in internal and external advocacy, delivering high quality documents, submissions and presentations to a range of audiencesLife at QUTWe''re committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
